The element hydrogen |
The element Hydrogen is used in our everyday items and food, such as fats and oils, through a process called hydrogenation. When Hydrogen is combined with liquid oxygen, it makes an excellent rocket fuel. In addition, the Sun and stars are made up of multiple gases including Hydrogen.
PLants and sugarHydrogen is inside all plants, and all living things as well, 10% of the weight of living organisms is Hydrogen. Hydrogen is also in sugar, including carbon and oxygen atoms. |
sun and starsThe sun and stars are exploding balls of gas, made mostly of hydrogen and helium, but with a little oxygen. Majority of the universe, 75%, is comprised of hydrogen. |
Hydrogen is odorless, colorless, and tasteless. Hydrogen can become liquid when exposed to extremely high pressure, About 3 billion cubic feet of hydrogen are produced in the United States per year, and Hydrogen has the lowest density of all gases.
Our reasonAlmost no one knows the facts about our elements so we took the time to share this with you. |
